Sprayberry's Carter Named All-State

The senior guard led the Lady Yellow Jackets to a state tournament appearance.

Neena Carter's senior season for the Sprayberry High School girls basketball team helped her earn all-state honors.

Carter was named to the AJC's second team in Class AAAAA after leading the Lady Yellow Jackets to the Georgia High School Association state tournament.

She will continue her basketball career at Georgia Southwestern.

Senior Andrea Brown of Pope High School was named to the first team in Class AAAAA. She led the Lady Greyhounds to a first-round state tournament appearance. She also was the Region 7-AAAAA player of the year.
