Week Ends With High School Sports Tourneys

If you aren't a big fan of high school football, you may feel ostracized in the high school sporting world. Not to worry! Just because you don't enjoy the gridiron doesn't mean your Fridays are lost to high school sports.

Teams from two of the three local high schools are in action off the football field tonight, participating in tournaments and regular season games all over the state. Here's a rundown of the action.

• Trojans Varsity Volleyball is taking part in the Lovett Volleyball Block Party tournament at . Games will be from 5 to 9 p.m.
• JV Fast Pitch Softball is playing in 's 12th Annual Mustang JV Fall Classic Fast Pitch Softball Tournament at in Kennesaw. The Trojans do not play until Saturday at 4:30 p.m. against , but the tournament starts at 4:30 p.m. today.

• Longhorns JV Fast Pitch Softball is also at the Mustang JV Fall Classic. Like the Trojans, their first game is not until 4:30 p.m. Saturday, when they square off against .
• The Varsity Softball team will travel to to take on the Hornets at 5:55 p.m.
