Lassiter DECA Hosts 'Pink Out'

Northeast Cobb's Lassiter High School DECA will hold a fourth annual Friday night 'Pink Out' event to raise breast cancer awareness and money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

's DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is holding this year's 'Pink Out' in honor of Lassiter alumna and breast cancer patient Pam Hutchinson Butler.

At Friday's football game against Cherokee High DECA members will sell pink t-shirts and spirit items, and cheerleaders will collect donations. The proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

DECA members hope to raise $3,500 this year.

The Lassiter-Cherokee game will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Lassiter's Frank Fillman Stadium.

DECA focuses on preparing high school and college students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
