Kincaid Science Olympians Place First

The Northeast Cobb school moves on to statewide competition.

The Kincaid Elementary School Science Olympiad team dominated the Cobb competition earlier this month, placing first out of 28 teams and will be heading to the state competition later this spring.

Every member of the team won either a medal or a ribbon this year:

  • 10th Place: What Went By, Brendan Kelley & Allison Mawn
  • 10th Place: Water Rockets, Daniella McAninch, Anmol Prakash & Matthew Marino
  • 9th Place: Map Reading, Caitlin Griffin & Jake McGhee
  • 9th Place: A is for Anatomy, Tomi Ayeni & Will Kaericher
  • 8th Place: Straw Egg Drop, Sam Cooney & Dagne Millard
  • 8th Place: Straw Tower, Christian Fitzgerald & Manuel Roglan
  • 7th Place: Paper Rockets, Susanna Huang & Will Kaericher
  • 6th Place: Disease Detectives, Allison Mawn & Olivia Sternagle
  • 5th Place: Weather or Not, Caitlin Griffin & Jake McGhee
  • 3rd Place: Bridge Building, Jagger Belghali & Susanna Huang
  • 3rd Place: Leaf & Tree Finder, Anmol Prakash & Jack Shade
  • 3rd Place: Mystery Liquids, Caitlin Griffin & Eryn McCullough
  • 3rd Place: Rock Hound, Christian Fitzgerald & Brendan Kelley
  • 2nd Place: Mystery Architecture, Jagger Belghali & Manuel Roglan
  • 1st Place: Starry Starry Night, Sam Cooney & Matthew Marino
