Kell Looking to Earn Baseball Playoff Berth

The high school baseball season has been going on for over 10 weeks now, but for most teams it ends Friday.

will be hosting the game of the day in Northeast Cobb Patch. The Longhorns will be shooting to earn their way into next week's state tournament. 

If Kell – currently tied for second in Region 5-AAAA with an 9-3 record – can get past Paulding County on Friday at Paulding County, then the Longhorns will clinch a spot in the postseason. Depending on other results Friday, Kell could be a two, three or four seed.

However, should Kell slip up in their regular season finale, they could find themselves eliminated from postseason play altogether.  

In Region 5-AAAAA action, Lassiter could lose the No. 1 seed in a tiebreaker if they fall to Etowah today.

Etowah at 5:55 p.m.

Kell at Paulding County5:55 p.m.

Girls Track

Kell and Sprayberry will compete in the girls Region 5-AAAA track meet at North Paulding High School, 9 a.m.

Lassiter will compete in the Region 5-AAAAA Track and Field Championships at Woodstock High School, 2 p.m.
