John Carson, a CPA with SunTrust Bank, succeeded former state Senator Robert Lamutt in a runoff election to fill the Dist. 43 seat held by the late Rep. Bobby Franklin.
Carson was sworn into office as the new state representative for House District 43 on Nov. 1, at 10:30 am in the House Chamber of the Georgia State Capitol. The oath of office and swearing in was given by Judge Tain Kell.
