Cobb to Honor Former Lassiter Band Director

He will be recognized Tuesday by the Board of Commissioners.

The Cobb Board of Commissioners will formally recognize retired Lassiter High School band director Alfred L. Watkins on Tuesday.

The recognition will take place at the beginning of the commission's regular meeting that begins at 7 p.m. in the 2nd floor BOC room, 100 Cherokee Street, Marietta.

Watkins retired in June after 31 years at the Northeast Cobb school, directing award-winning orchestral, jazz, chamber and marching band programs.
