Northeast Cobb Arrests and Crime Trends

Precinct 4 is warning citizens of the latest crime waves and arrests.

The is sharing information about criminal trends to ensure citizens can take all proper precautions in their lives.

Precinct 4, which covers Northeast Cobb County, has seen a rash of burglaries in the last few weeks. According to Precinct 4's PENS (Police Email Notification System), small businesses along Roswell Road and Canton Road are being targeted by theives. Business owners in the area are encouraged to buy monitoring systems, and to perform other preventative tasks such as cleaning out the cash drawer every night and taking down posters that may obstruct the view out of the front windows.

Precinct 4 officers have responded to this uptick in burglaries. Around 3 a.m. on June 27, officers spotted two people loitering behind a closed business. The man and woman were arrested for loitering and prowling. A further investigation linked the pair to a break-in at .

On June 25, officers responded to a 3 a.m. to a burglary in progress at the . The officers found signs of forced entry, and after a thorough search of the property discovered a man hiding in a crawl space in the attic of the building. The man was subsequently arrested and charged with burglary.
