Businesses Caught Selling Alcohol to Minors
The Marietta Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance check Jan. 28. Thirty businesses were checked. Six sold alcoholic beverages to underage buyers.
Six businesses sold alcohol to underage buyers during the Jan. 28 alcohol compliance check.
The buyers did not provide false identification or misrepresent their age. It is the responsibility of the seller to check identification and refuse the sale to underage people.
The following businesses were cited under City Ordinance 8-8-2-195 (Minors-Prohibited Practices) for selling to underage buyers:

- RaceTrac, 749 S. Marietta Pkwy.
- QuikTrip, 671 Cobb Pkwy. N.
- Shell, 334 Cobb Pkwy. S.
- Fairground Food Mart, 619 N. Fairground St.
- BP, 1230 Cobb Pkwy N.
- Bells Ferry Food Shop, 1251 Cobb Pkwy N.
