An East Cobb jewelry store was robbed on Thursday afternoon, and Cobb Police are searching for the suspect and his accomplice.
Police said the man walked into the Edward-Johns Jewelers and asked an employee to see a specific piece of jewelry.
As the employee opened up the display case, the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded that the item be given to him, Pierce said.
The suspect fled the scene with the jewelry in a red Honda driven by a female occupant.

School Bus Accident Injures 15
Fifteen people were injured when a school bus and a car collided at the intersection of Polk Street and North Marietta Parkway Friday morning.
The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. when a car (with a mom and her seventh-grade son) turning left onto Polk Street from the North Marietta Parkway failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was broadsided by a school bus.
The 12-year-old boy in the car was airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite with serious injuries injuries, according to police.
Thirteen children from the bus and the bus driver were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Man Shot in Kennesaw Was Visiting
Hours after homes were evacuated, roads were blocked and members of the Cobb County Police SWAT team converged on a Kennesaw neighborhood early Friday morning, investigators were still trying to determine what caused the shooting that started it all.
About six people were inside a Bozeman Lake Road residence when one man, using a "long, powerful assault type of weapon," shot another man who was visiting the home, Cobb Police said.
The shooting victim was expected to make a full recovery.

Woodstock Teen Charged With Terroristic Threats
A Woodstock High School student is behind bars after threatening a Columbine-type attack.
Lake Reynolds, a 17-year-old junior, has been charged with making terroristic threats and remains at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on a $1,200 bond.
“He was not armed and there is no indication that Reynolds actually planned a ‘Columbine’ attack,” Sheriff's Office Spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said in a press release. “However, he is being charged with the threat.”
The Cherokee County School District on Friday sent home a letter with students for parents, alerting them of the situation.

2 Powder Springs Burglars Caught
Powder Springs police caught two burglars this week—one arrested afterward, the other in the act.
The suspects, ages 13 and 19, were still in custody on Friday, and police said more suspects could be apprehended.
