3. Mardi Gras on Main

Where/When: Main Street, Downtown Woodstock; Friday, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Why Go: Mardi Gras is always fun! Enjoy the parade, fresh food and live music. Merchants stay open late for your shopping convenience.  Parade begins at 8:30 and ends at the gazebo where the King and Queen of Mardi Gras on Main will be crowned.

Price: Free; Food is available for purchase.

4. Georgia Ensemble Theater in Inherit the Wind

Where/When: Roswell Cultural Arts Center; Saturday, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.; Sunday, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Why Go: This play brings up questions such as: Should we be allowed to think for ourselves and celebrate our differences? The play takes place in 1925 and is a fictional account surrounding the Scopes “Monkey” Trial and the persecution of a teacher who taught evolution in a high school science class.

5. Hear Chubby Checker Live

Where/When:  Jennie T. Anderson Theatre inside the Cobb Civic Center; Saturday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: You love his songs such as “The Twist” and “Let’s Twist Again”. The audience gets involved during this fun and lively performance.
