Georgia Ballet 6 Mile Walk

Help raise money to keep arts in education.

The Georgia Ballet is hosting it's 6th annual Pirouette in the Park. This six mile community walk, lunch, and morning of fun will support the Arts in Education program helping over 12,000 local students. It also supports the Georgia Ballet school and helps the professional dance company with family performances.

Enjoy face painting, games and give-aways.

When: Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Walk begins at 10 a.m.

Where: Laurel Park, 151 Manning Road, Marietta.

The six mile walk is open to ballet students, families, friends and patrons. Walkers find sponsors to donate per mile walked.

The Georgia Ballet is a non-profit and relies on donations. Pirouette in the Park is one of the major sources of fund-raising for the year.

The board of trustees laces up to join the dancers in the six mile fund-raising walk. To sponsor a dancer, visit GeorgiaBallet.org.

The Georgia Ballet was founded in 1960 and has the mission:

To promote excellence in ballet performance and training, foster an increased public awareness and appreciation for dance, and provide dedicated and talented dancers with the opportunity for advanced level training and professional performance venues.
