Senator Chip Rogers Town Hall Meeting

1. Tomorrow Marietta Recycling's application to establish a steel, metal and iron processing and transfer station at their property located at 4596 Canton Highway will be heard by the Planning Commission. Residents for or against the transfer station may wish to attend the meeting 9 a.m. BOC Room, second floor, 100 Cherokee St., Marietta..

2. Lassiter Junior Trojan Football Spring Practice for rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders living in the Lassiter High School District takes place today through May 21. Spring football consists of three weeks of practice and two Jamboree events. The Jamboree features controlled scrimmage games against three other teams. Registration is also open for the Fall 2011 Football season.

3. Want to discuss issues and laws with Senator Chip Rogers? You can tonight. The Senator will hold a Town Hall Meeting at the Mountain View Aquatic Center located at 2650 Gordy Parkway. 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

4. Real Ministries's Johnson Ferry Career Network is holding a workshop and discussion today called Be a Better You and Marketing Yourself. Free and open to all. 5.Liz Jackson, principal of Keheley Elementary School, was one of six educators nominated for an Education Impact award in Parent to Parent of Georgia's Impact Award program.  The online voting took place April 1 through April 22.  Statewide winners are announced today.
