Schools, Cobb Libraries Celebrate National Library Week

Cobb County Libraries are celebrating National Library Week with fun for the whole family.

recognize the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide during National Library Week, April 8 through 14.

“Our school media specialists, media centers, and libraries continue to help improve literacy among our students and in our community," said Dr. Debra McCracken, MCS Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. “National Library Week is an excellent time to visit your local library, and take advantage of the free access to books and computers, homework help, CDs, DVDs and much more.”

National Library Week is an annual celebration of the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians. All types of libraries—school, public, academic and special—participate.
