Marietta Greek Festival

Gather around the water cooler to discuss what's happening in Northeast Cobb today, May 13.

1.The Marietta Greek Festival kicks off today at 3 p.m. Enjoy live Greek music, dancing, food and browse art, jewelry and wares. The festival is held on the grounds of the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church located at 3431 Trickum Road. For more information, call 770-924-8080.

4. The Primrose School of Sprayberry Spring Fling is a fun family event that includes food, games, and prizes. $10 per person or $25 for a family of three and $5 for each additional person. You can purchase raffle tickets for $1 per ticket or $25 for 30 tickets. There are fabulous prizes this year that you do not want to miss out on. 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. 2531 East Piedmont Road. 5. The First Annual Partnership Conference is hosted by the Acworth-based North American Haiti Partnership (NAHP). The gathering is to inform by providing comprehensive, accurate and direct information on ministries in Haiti, to motivate churches and individuals to follow God's leading to become more deeply involved, and to connect local churches, agencies and individuals of like interest for cooperation. The conference will provide a forum for those already serving in Haiti to tell their stories, present their needs, and invite others to join them.  This includes short-term and long-term workers, supporters, family members, pastors, representatives of organizations, leaders of Haitian ministries and church members.

It is also an opportunity for those individuals and churches who believe that they are called to minister to the church in Haiti, but as yet have not found a specific opportunity in which to serve. $50 per person includes meals and materials (checks payable to North American Haiti Partnership). The conference is today starting at 10 a.m. through Saturday, 12 p.m. at the Hope Presbyterian Church, 4101 Sandy Plains Road.
