What's going on in Cobb County next week?

Have you ever wanted to get more involved with your local government but haven't discovered the best way to go about it? The website has a calendar of events that contains a large number of Cobb-centric activities. Here are a few of the events happening next week!

  • Sheriff Neil Warren is hosting his Annual Corn Boilin' at in Marietta on Monday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $15. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Cobb County Youth Museum. Please call (770) 429-8287 for more information.
  • The Neighborhood Safety Commission will be holding a meeting on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the third floor conference room of the Cobb County Government offices at in Marietta Square. 
  • The Watershed Stewardship Program is hosting a "Rain Garden Work Day" on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Cobb County Water Quality Lab, 662 South Cobb Dr. Rain gardens are essential in reducing the amount of runoff entering the water supply and provide beautiful greenery.
  • Dog lovers are invited to join the International All Breed Canine Association at their 2012 Summer Sieger at Jim Miller Park on Saturday, July 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please call (859) 494-5076 for more information.
