Lassiter Lacrosse Falls to Milton

The Trojans hung tough with their rivals in a rematch of last year's state championship match.

The Lassiter High School boys lacrosse team led early on Friday in a rematch of last year's state championship match with Milton, but couldn't hang on.

The Trojans fell 14-12, their first loss of the year, but the match was a tight one all the way.

With five minutes left in the match, Lassiter scored three quick goals to get to within three points of Milton, but couldn't come back all the way.

The Trojans, who are ranked No. 15 in the most recent high school rankings, are now 3-1 on the season and play Wheeler on Thursday.

The Lassiter girls, who are 3-0 on the season, are ranked 10th.
