ReplyHi Jami,
Yes we've been to Tacos Colima in Nashua. Great authentic Mexican food. Little hole in the wall place. Great food, service and worth the wait. The Hacienda's, on the rocks margarita's, are still tops though. The only place to come close or better is Margarita Grille in NH or in Cancun Mexico. La Carretta also makes a pretty good one as well. -

ReplyCongratulations to Officer Peladeau and the K-9 Unit for obtaining the vests for both Benny and Misty. I've seen both of these dogs up close and personal and know what both are capable of doing. The officers training and the dedication he has is 24/7. It's money well spent.

On the Blog Post What's for Dinner?: New England Pot Roast

ReplyHi Derek,
Thanks for catching that. Yes 4 cups is called for in the recipe when cooking on top of the stove or in the oven. I should have been more specific with the crockpot. But yes, cut the liquid down to 1 -2 cups (depending on the size of your roast). I have put 3 cups of liquid in and really nothing has happened, just makes extra juice. Potatoes, it's up to you, depends on the kind. Red Bliss are heartier and you can keep the skins on but cook quick so put them in at the end with an hour or so to go. I've put potatoes in the crockpot and nothing has happened to them because with the crockpot it's not like your stirring the pot, they just sit there. I usually place them on top and they will cook even slower. I've never had a problem with adding potatoes in for the long duration. Sometimes I quarter the potatoes so they are pretty big, and they are sometimes not cooked all the way through and have had to stir them around. Sometimes it depends on the crockpot. Mine was old and recently tossed it, so I'll be curious to see what the new one will do to my potaotes.
Hope that helps.

Here is a crockpot recipe from a good friend of mine. I've made it a ton of times.
4 Boneless Chicken Breasts
1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar
1 Can Cream Chicken Soup
1 Can Cream Mushroom Soup
pinch garlic salt
1 Can Rotelle chile and tomato
1 Small onion chopped
Place chicken cut up on bottom, then add soups, cheese, rotelle, onion and spices. Mixt it all together and cook 6-8 hours on love. Serve it over Rice.Hope you like it.

ReplyYou can go into the christmas-trees.org site on line and it pulls up all the MA counties for xmas tree farms in the area. Also google NH. We've cut down tree's in Pepperell and Townsend and out by Parker's Maple Barn in Mason, NH (north) there is a cut your own farm but they are closed on Sundays. I hope this helps.

You should bring her to a vet and have her scanned for a chip, most dogs have chips in them and can let you know who the owner is.Good luck.
