I should also mention that the Cougars almost reclaimed the lead in the final seconds after a series of lateral passes that brought them to around the 35 yard line before being taken down by North Paulding. It was certainly a valiant effort on the part of Alexander and was very nearly successful.

Joe - thanks for the additional input. I agree that it became do-or-die for the Wolfpack in the fourth quarter, as it would be for any team who is down by a single point with just over a minute remaining in the game. I think the Wolfpack struggled in the fourth more than any of the other quarters. A block in the back, a personal foul, and some other penalties got the Wolfpack off of their groove for a minute. Thankfully for North Paulding they managed to recover just in time.

Kell High School senior Katie Logan will be participating in the National English Speaking Union Shakespeare Competition in New York at the end of April. Katie won the NESU Regional Competition held at the Shakespeare Tavern to earn her place at the National Competition.
