1. Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit Marietta Square for the 36th annual Harvest Square Festival. The Fall arts and crafts festival features a wide variety of unique handmade items from a local artist and craftsmen as well as Fall fun for the entire family. The event also includes Halloween Happenings for children ages 10 and younger. The event takes place as part of Harvest Square and includes games, candy, prizes and a costume contest for children 12 and under. There is even a costume contest for pets. The Strand Theatre is brining Salute to America, an exciting new musical revue and tribute to both classic and new patriotic music, to the stage this September. The Earl Smith Strand brings suspense, true love, and cult classics to the screen this fall. We wanted to hear about your favorite Earl Smith Strand Theatre moments, but Patch's ticket giveaway proved to be a golden opportunity to visit the Marietta Square theater for the first time. More than half the people who entered the contest by posting comments across Cobb County Patches said they have never seen a show at the Strand but would love to do so.
