St. Andrew Youth Fundraiser Scheduled

The Feb. 24 event includes a silent auction and a bake sale.

From a press release: The young people of St. Andrew United Methodist Church will hold a silent auction and bake sale fundraiser at the church’s Keheley Center on Sunday, February 24, after the 10:45.am. Worship Service.   “We will have a large variety of items up for sale at the auction,” said Lisa Springer, director of youth ministries. “Last year, there were over 250 items on the auction floor. So we hope that everyone interested in finding great bargains and supporting an even greater cause will join us for this highly popular event.”   Past actions staged by the St. Andrew UMC youth have featured items such as weekend cabin trips, local restaurants, a weekend in Florida, artwork, and services including painting, yard work, pest …

St. Andrew UMC Welcomes New Assistant Pastor

As the church celebrates its fiftieth anniversary, it welcomes Rev. Hanna Rhee to the family.

A South Korean immigrant and 2009 Master of Divinity recepient is the newest assistant pastor at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Northeast Cobb. Rev. Hanna Rhee was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was 15. She was raised in the Methodist faith, as her father served as a pastor both in South Korea and the United States.  “St. Andrew United Methodist Church is proud to welcome Rev. Hanna Rhee to our church family,” said Rev. Mack Riley, senior pastor. Rhee's first service was on July 1. After graduating from the University of Oregon in 2003 with a bachelors degree in psychology, Rhee went on to attend Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where she graduated with her …
