Woodstock To Honor Veterans
The city's annual ceremony will be held on Monday.
The City of Woodstock on Monday will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony. The event, held in conjunction with the American Legion Post 316 and the Marine Corps League Detachment 1311, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Park at City Center. The candlelight ceremony will feature special guest speakers, the Together In Harmony choral group, guitarist Kareem Rea and the Etowah High School Air Force JROTC. As a special tribute to our Vietnam veterans, the city will include songs from that era, yellow ribbons and each Vietnam Vet attending will receive a P-51 Can Opener provided by the Warriors’ Watch Riders.
