Marietta Driver Involved in Fatal Crash

A man died after a Friday night crash where his Chevrolet was struck twice at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Akers Mill Road near Cumberland Mall.

A fatal crash occurred Friday evening at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Akers Mill Road near Cumberland Mall in Vinings, according to the Cobb Police Department. Investigators said that the driver of a gray 2009 Chevrolet Impala was attempting to turn right onto Cobb Parkway from Akers Mill Road on a red light when he was struck by a maroon 1999 Mitsubishi Montero. After it was hit, the Chevrolet continued on in an easterly direction where it was struck a second time by a gray 2012 Toyota Camry, while the Mitsubishi overturned on its roof and came to an uncontrolled rest in the southbound lanes of Cobb Parkway, said Cobb police spokesman Dana Pierce. Suspect Identified in Cumberland Killing

A Douglasville man is wanted for the shooting death of George B. Tabetando on Saturday after a fight near Macy's.

Update Dec. 1 10 a.m: The Cobb County Police Department has identified 28-year-old Rosano Wensly Bundel of Douglasville as a suspect in the Saturday night homicide of 29-year-old old George B. Tabetando. Police officials are asking for the public’s assistance in helping them to locate Bundel, who is considered to be armed and dangerous. Investigators have secured an arrest warrant for him. If you've got business, shopping, dining or other activities in the Cumberland Mall area today, you might want to make sure they're still good to go.  That's because several streets in the vicinity of the mall and Cobb Galleria Centre will be closed from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday for to the filming of the AMC television series "The Walking Dead."
