Jackets Look to Bounce Back
Sprayberry has the athleticism and experience to turn things around this season in girls basketball.
The Sprayberry Lady Yellow Jackets basketball team enters the season upbeat, focused and ready to play. Coach Mark Giles' team is coming off a 12-12 season in which the Lady Jackets missed the state playoffs, and the girls feel as if they have something to prove this year. Led by standout senior forward Nadia Ogene, junior Shyra Oliver and senior Katina Barbee, the balanced Sprayberry attack boasts athleticism and basketball IQ. Ogene's post game and rebounding and Katina Barbee's soft touch around the rim will add to the attack. Sprayberry will try to set an athletic tone early in games by pushing the ball into Ogene in the low post.
