Cobb County’s "Largest Egg Hunt" will take place on Saturday, March 23, at Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Rd., Marietta 30008. The event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. The 2013 Hunt will feature children’s art activities, live entertainment, inflatables and concessions. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to visit with children; and there will be contests, including the Mad Hatter Contest and Decorated Basket Contest. There will be five egg hunts, which will be broken down into age groups. In each hunt, there will be special prize eggs. The Easter season isn't far away, which means for the fourth year running the Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop is also on the horizon. Here's the release we received on Friday: Bring the whole family out for the 4th Annual Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop presented by Piedmont Church, Superior Plumbing and Cobb County Schools and get ready as more than 90,000 eggs and pieces of candy are spread out and dropped from a helicopter at the football fields at Sprayberry High School March 30, 2013!
