What could have been a dream soccer season for Lassiter’s boys came to a nightmarish end Friday night with a 4-2 loss at Brookwood in the Georgia High School Association AAAAA playoffs. The Broncos scored twice in the final seven minutes to break a tie forged with 10:15 left when junior Will Robinson scored for the Trojans, The Gwinnett Daily Post reported. Lassiter (17-3-1) led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by junior Shaban Abousaud, but Brookwood tied it early in the second half on a penalty kick and took the lead with 17:41 to play on a bad-bounce goal, the Daily Post said.
