30 Percent Chance Of More Snow Tonight

Current temperature is 26 degrees.

Today's high temperature barely reached 31 degrees. The windchill made it feel colder. The wind and intermittent snow flurries didn't cause significant driving hazards during the day. Above-freezing temperatures are near. Monday's temperature is expected to be 34 and Tuesday we can expect temperatures in the low 40s, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz. The current temperature in Northeast Cobb is 26 degrees. Tonight's low will be 19 degrees with a 30 percent chance of snow, according to The Weather Channel. 32 degrees fahrenheit (or 0 degrees celsius) is the freezing temperature of water. Use caution when driving to avoid ice, especially at night.

128 Years Since Last White Christmas

We can expect a 30 percent chance of more snow tonight, according to The Weather Channel.

This was the first white Christmas in the Atlanta area since 1882, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz. The Atlanta area did experience snow flurries in 1993, but no accumulation. The third of an inch measured 128 years ago is a record that remains unbroken. The snowfall began Saturday in Cobb 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning, leaving traces of white on grass and driveways. 2:30 p.m. snow blanketed the ground although the roads were clear.  By 5:30 p.m. motorists were driving through slush and patches of snow.  At 11:30 p.m. travelers along Lower Roswell Road reported sliding through subdivision streets.
