Pet of the Day: Lovely Summer

This 7-year-old girl is available for adoption at the Cobb County Animal Shelter.

Hi, my name is Summer. I'm a 7-year-old, 20-pound Jack Russell terrier. I was turned in to the shelter on April 15. I'm house trained, but not recommended for homes with small children, which is common for terriers. Will you give me a forever home? I'm up to date on shots, spayed, and will be heartworm tested and microchipped. You can find me in cage 331 at the Cobb County Animal Shelter, located at 1060 Al Bishop Dr., Marietta. Call 770-499-4136 for more information. Please reference my ID number, 542425, and not my name. For more animals in need of homes, visit the Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb County Facebook page.

The Facebook lists of dogs and cats are just a fraction of those available at the shelter. There are around 400 plus animals at the shelter daily...many never get their photos taken or are even given a name. The dogs and cats are all very special and each one eagerly waits for someone to choose them and take them to a new home where they are loved.   more ›
