Cobb County Precinct 1 and Precinct 4 police blotters, and felony arrests.
Jan. 14, 2:20 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. A white male was seen placing DVDs in his jacket and under his arms at the Walmart on Chastain Meadows Parkway. The man was confronted by store security while trying to leave at the front door and began to fight with store security and ran out the door. The man fled the store and got into a brown Toyota, possibly a Corolla or Camry. While he was fighting with store security, he dropped his cell phone, jacket, and three of the DVDs that he had in his possession. Witnesses looked through the phone that the suspect dropped and identified the suspect from pictures on his phone as the same person that had stolen the DVDs. A warrant was issued for the suspect. Cobb County Precinct 4 Police Blotter Dec. 29, 1:15 a.m. - 1:35 a.m. The Christmas decorations at a home on Stonemill Road were damaged. Dec. 29, 2:15 a.m. - 2:23 a.m. A large rock was thrown through the Sprayberry Bottle Shop window located at Sandy Plains Road had in a possible burglary attempt. Dec. 29, 5:15 p.m. - 6:44 p.m., Hazelwood Drive. A white male stole a track to a Bobcat located on Hazelwood Drive. Dec. 28, time unknown. Victim at advised that a Stacy Court tenant moved out and did extensive damage to the rental home. Cobb County Precinct 4 Crime Report, Dec. 22 Update Dec. 21, 1:40 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. The catalytic converter was cut from the victim's 2000 Jeep Cherokee on Canton Road. Suspect vehicle is a red or orange mid nineties Honda Civic. Dec. 20, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. While on vacation, an acquaintance of the victim's son forced entry into the residence on Cornwallis Court and left behind his wallet. Unknown yet if anything was taken. Dec. 19, 2:09 a.m. Victim on St. Augustine Trail reported that unknown suspect repeatedly kicked his door causing damage. Cobb County Precinct 4 Crime Report, Dec. 13 Weekend Update Dec. 12, 10:30 p.m. to 11:33 p.m. Money was taken from a residence on Stoneridge Drive by a suspected acquaintance. Dec. 12, 7:21 p.m. to 7:34 p.m. A door leading into the garage of a house on Atlanta Country Club Dr. was splintered at the lock and the doorway to the house was damaged. No entry was made as the unknown suspect was possibly halted by the alarm. Dec. 12, 12 p.m to 2:35 p.m. An unlocked vehicle at Hawk Trail was entered and the center console cover was torn off.
