Sandy Plains Road Burger King Robbed

The holdup occurred Thursday night; the suspect is still at-large.

A Burger King restaurant on Sandy Plains Road was robbed Thursday night and Cobb Police are looking for the man wanted in connection with the incident. Cobb Police spokesman Officer Michael Bowman said in a release that the suspect is a male, race unknown, and was wearing all black clothing and a mask to hide his face. Bowman said the suspect entered the restaurant, located at 2716 Sandy Plains Road -- between East Piedmont Road and Post Oak Tritt Road -- around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. He demanded money from the registers and the store safe and fled the scene after a few minutes in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of cash, Bowman said. Veggie Burger at Popular Fast Food Restaurant

Is healthy fast food possible?

Maybe I’m behind the times, but I did not know fast food restaurants offer veggie burgers. The man in front of me in line at Burger King ordered a veggie burger. I immediately scoured the large menu overhead and couldn’t find anything mentioning veggie burgers. Finally, in the far left corner under BK Favorites, there it was. "BK Veggie Burger."  According to General Manager Rahul Gupta, “We are the only fast food restaurant offering veggie burgers. We have been offering it for years now.” For those with food sensitivities, the veggie burger does contain corn, gluten, milk, onion powder and soy.
