What are you doing tonight? You could be having dinner at Porter Beer Bar and attending the Basia concert with other fabulous singles.

Northeast Cobb's Atlanta Metro Singles plan to enjoy dinner and Polish vocalist Basia this evening—and you're invited. Basia launched her solo career in 1987 after many successful years with the pop band Matt Bianco. Supported by the singles "New Day for You" and "Time and Tide," her debut solo album became a platinum-selling hit in Europe and America. Her jazz-pop versatility continued to excel on future albums, and she earned more hits with "Cruising for Bruising," “Promises" and “Drunk on Love." Her fifth solo album, It's That Girl Again, was released last year.  You may also be a fan of the famed guitarist Peter White, who has played on many of her albums and has toured with her. Free Movie Screening, Aqua Blue Mixer

Life doesn't have to be dull when you are single in family-oriented Cobb. Join in the fun!

Northeast Cobb-based Atlanta Metro Singles is offering a free movie screening tonight of 50/50.  50/50 is a movie about Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a 27 year old man, who is diagnosed with cancer. He breaks the news to his girlfriend (Bryce Dallas Howard), his best friend (Seth Rogen) and his mother (Anjelica Huston), who is also dealing with her husband (and Adam's father) who has Alzheimer's disease. Each deals with the news and subsequent treatment in different ways. In the middle of it all, Adam also seeks therapy from a young and inexperienced therapist (Anna Kendrick), assigned to him by the hospital, and befriends several older, wisecracking chemotherapy patients (Philip Baker Hall and Matt Frewer). Puttin' on the Ritz for Good Cause

Dust off your dancing shoes and lay out the black tie for a first class singles event that benefits the Children's Restoration Network's HeadSmart Program, which provides education to break the cycle of homelessness.

Atlanta Metro Singles member, Cliff Kinsey, heads up the Children's Restoration Network. Kinsey has arranged for Atlanta Metro Singles members to attend the 13th Annual "Celebrate the Children Gala" at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on Saturday at 6 p.m. Tickets are normally $150 each, but just for the Atlanta Metro Singles group, the tickets will be $100 each. Click here to RSVP. All proceeds from the Gala benefit The Children's Restoration Network. This charity believes that education is the key to ending homelessness and provides a HeadSmart program, which includes scholarships, tutoring, mentoring and more for children in need.
