According to the Cobb County jail booking report, Northeast Cobb resident Marrs Matthew William was arrested Friday at a property located on Barrett Lakes Blvd. and charged with child molestation stemming from an October 2009 incident. William, 26, lives in the 3000 block of Heatherwood Trace. After being arrested, he was booked into the county jail, where he was released Saturday on cash bond. According to the Cobb County jail booking report, Northeast Cobb resident Le Suzanne Nguyen was arrested Friday during a traffic stop near the intersection of Interstate 75 and 575 and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane change. Nguyen, 19, lives in the 1500 block of Briarfield Way. After being arrested, she was booked into the county jail, where she was released hours later on cash bond. Three men are being held without bond for Wednesday's shootings in Fox Hills and car chase along Lower Roswell Road.
Cobb Police have identified and charged three suspects in Wednesday's shootings during a home invasion in the Fox Hills neighborhood and a car chase on Lower Roswell Road. Cobb Police Spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce issued a release at 1 p.m. Wednesday indicating that Quinton Castile Gatling, 26, and Dennis Christopher Ivory, 29, both of Marietta, and Ronald McCall, 27, of Fairburn, are being held without bond on the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. They have each been charged with burglary, armed robbery and aggravated assault. According to Cobb Police, three male suspects entered a home at 272 Lamplighter Lane in the Fox Hills subdivision late Wednesday morning, demanding property from the occupants. Cobb Chamber CEO David Connell was arrested Wednesday morning after authorities discovered he had a loaded handgun in his briefcase at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Connell was headed on a business trip, according to the Cobb Chamber. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Connell was arrested at 11:02 a.m. and transported to Clayton County Jail. Connell’s attorney, Michael Maloof, told the newspaper that he expected Connell to be released on bond later in the day. But WSB-TV reported at 5:45 p.m. that Connell was still in jail. Connell’s .380 calibur handgun and two loaded clips were discovered at 7:40 a.m., the AJC reported. A Cobb County man was busted on drug charges Sunday in upstate New York. Emmanual L. Sheppard, 30, who has a Marietta address, was one of three people arrested in the village of Adams, not far from Syracuse, after police received a complaint about the odor of marijuana coming from an apartment, the Watertown Daily Times reported. Adams police investigated and said they found 1.3 kilograms (about 2.9 pounds) of powder and crack cocaine, marijuana residue, and drug paraphernalia when they searched the apartment, the Daily Times added. The cocaine had a police-estimated street value of $130,000, WNYF-TV said.
