The American Legion Post 160 will raise money for Special Olympics-Cobb.
This Sunday, April 7, the American Legion Post 160 of Smyrna will host its 25th Annual Fundraiser for Special Olympics-Cobb. The event will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at Post 160's office at 160 Legion Drive in Smyrna. Smyrna-Vinings and Cobb residents are invited to join the American Legion family and enjoy silent and live auctions, food, music and performances by Special Olympics Gymnastic Team. Admission is $5. The City of Smyrna is holding a Veterans Day ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Brinkley Park, in addition to the Veterans Day service held by The American Legion Post 160 at 11 a.m. outside of the Legion office on 160 Legion Drive. This week's Cobb, Douglas and Paulding Weekend Spotlight features an area Veterans Day event in Smyrna where residents can show their support for local veterans. The 5th Annual Smyrna Veterans Day Service will be held this Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at Brinkley Park next to The American Legion Post 160 office at 160 Legion Drive SE in Smyrna.
