My Pastor Dwight Graves: Gone, but NEVER, ever forgotten... Pastor Graves was like a father figureRead More to me...whether I spoke to him on a daily basis or not. He was a strong proud man, who honored God and his family. I loved him for his strength, I admired him for his courage and I adorned him for the way he loved his family. I loved Pastor Graves, he was the father I never had, the brother I'd love to keep and a friend I always treasured. His smile was unbelievable...it was a smile that lit up the room. I never saw his pain because of his smile. I've never known him to ever complain. He was truly a wonderful, loving and caring human being. I kept him in my heart as my dad, my "father figure" and I spoke of him to my friends and family as if he were always there guiding me. Whenever, I had a problem, I would always tell my family and friends..."I wonder what Mr and Mrs. Graves would say. I will miss his advice...that smile...that chuckle... his prayers . I can't believe he is gone. I am very sad, but you know, I just know he is smililing in heaven... I just know he is in a better place and will never suffer again. He will always be loved in Heaven and on Earth. Always Pastor Graves...I will miss you always! Love, Helene Buchanan.
