This week's events in the Northeast Cobb area also include a CPR course at the YMCA and the EAST COBBER Parade & Festival.

Monday, Sept. 16

2nd Annual Constitution Day Festival of Georgia -- Taking place on the Marietta Square, 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., includes re-enactments, live music, performances from school groups and more. Information: http://www.constitutiondayfestivalofga.com/

Tuesday, Sept. 17 

Cobb Board of Commissioners Zoning Hearing -- Starting at 9 a.m., 2nd floor BOC Room, 100 Cherokee Street, Marietta. The applications include the following in the East Cobb and Northeast Cobb areas: 

  • Waffle House for 4797 Canton Road;
  • The Providence Group for a single-family subdivision at 1790 Murdock Road;
  • Southeast Real Estate Acquisitions LLC for a single-family subdivision at Sandy Plains, Alabama and Woodstock roads;
  • Marie McCleskey, for a land use permit for a portrait photography business at 2673 Spring Arbor Way;
  • Lot One Homes, Inc. for single family homes at 3948 Mabry Road.

Thursday, Sept. 19

Friday, Sept. 20

High School Football -- Walton at Woodstock, Cherokee at Lassiter, Creekview at Kell, Etowah at Wheeler, Walker at Mt. Zion, Carrollton, Northview at Pope, Forsyth Central at Sprayberry. Kickoff times at 7:30 p.m. 

Saturday, Sept. 21

The 18th Annual EAST COBBER Parade & Festival -- The marching down a newly paved Johnson Ferry Road begins at 10 a.m., with the festival taking place at the Fountains at Olde Towne. Information: http://www.eastcobber.com/
