Elicia Fritsch was awarded the Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson Award during Keep America Beautiful's national conference last month.

Keep Cobb Beautiful board member Elicia Fritsch of Northeast Cobb was honored recently with the Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson Award for her dedication to beautification and community greening programs throughout Georgia.

Fritsch has been involved in environmental efforts for more than 25 years. She's an advocate for trees and locally grown organic foods.

"Elicia's leadership and dedication strengthen KCB's mission and exemplify the truly dedicated volunteer," Keep America Beautiful President and CEO Matthew McKenna said in a statement. "Elicia understands that natural beauty is more than mere decoration. She realizes that aesthetic beauty is directly related to healthier communities, lower crime and a better quality of life."
