Sprayberry Falls to Hillgrove in Home Opener
The Hawks defeated the Jackets 41-21 in prep football action.
The spotted the Hillgrove Hawks three touchdowns before they could counter with points of their own. Ultimately it was too little, too late as Sprayberry lost to Hillgrove, 41-21, Friday.
Tye Richardson started Sprayberry off with just 3:31 to play in the first half with a kickoff return for a score. He would later catch a Corbin Jackson pass in the fourth quarter to notch another touchdown.
Jackson ran for Sprayberry's final score of the game, but Hillgrove running back Kenyan Drake was just too much for the Yellow Jackets.
Sprayberry was also hurt by two costly turnovers that led to quick scores for Hillgrove.
