QB Printz Commits to UCLA

The Lassiter star reportedly plans to enroll at the California school in spring 2013.

junior quarterback Eddie Printz has announced plans to attend UCLA.

The word of his commitment came after he made an unofficial visit to the Los Angeles campus over the weekend, recruiting site NationalUnderclassmen.com said in a Facebook post Monday.

Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports and others also reported the commitment on Twitter, although Printz himself did not tweet his decision.

I’m a Bruin and very excited to have this decision out of the way early,” Printz told ESPN.com’s recruiting blog.

At UCLA he’ll play in 2013 for new coach Jim Mora, the former Atlanta Falcons coach, and offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone.

Mora also has a commitment from a member of the Lassiter Class of 2012, .

It’s the second commitment Printz has made, and it’s just as nonbinding as the first.

At the start of his junior year, the Northeast Cobb quarterback to play for another ex-Falcons coach, June Jones, at SMU.

But after leading Lassiter to a that ended in the Georgia High School Association’s AAAAA semifinals, he and reopened his recruiting.

As a high school junior, Printz can’t sign a binding letter of intent until February 2013, although he could graduate after next fall’s semester at Lassiter and enroll in college in spring 2013.

That’s what Printz plans to do, 247Sports reported.
