Lassiter Ousted from Baseball Playoffs
Brookwood beat the Trojans, 4-2, to advance to the quarterfinals.
Region 5-AAAAA champion lost Game 3 of its best-of-three playoff series at home against Brookwood on Thursday, 4-2, ending the Trojans' baseball season in the second round of the GHSA 5A state tournament.
Wednesday, 3-1, but lost the second, 11-6, to force Thursday's decisive game.
Lassiter's two runs came on solo home runs from Jared Aarons and Andy Rief. The shot from Aaron came in the fifth inning to cut Brookwood's lead to 2-1. Rief's came in the sixth inning, after Brookwood scored two more runs.

Lassiter, last year's state runner-up, finished the year 22-10.
Brookwood will play Newnan in the quarterfinals Tuesday.
