The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's 2012 high school football all-state teams have six players from Northeast Cobb-area schools on them.
The newspaper released its lists earlier this week, with separate teams for each of the six classifications of competition, including player and coach of the year.
From Class AAAAAA, the quarterback is Eddie Printz of Lassiter, along with his top wide receiver, Willie Police; and offensive lineman Brandon Kublanow of Walton.
In Class AAAAAA, Kell defensive backs Brendan Langley and Quincy Mauger have been included, as well as Pope offensive lineman Max Kemper.
Included in the honorable mention category are Walton running back Tyren Jones and Wheeler defensive back Allen Artis.
Five Northeast Cobb-area teams reached the state playoffs, but only one of them, Kell, advanced past the first round. The Longhorns were eliminated in the second round by eventual Class AAAAA state champion Gainesville.
