Lassiter Boys Win Lacrosse Scrimmage

Both Trojans varsity teams begin their seasons next week.

It doesn't quite feel like spring, but the spring high school sports seasons are swinging into gear this weekend.

On Saturday morning, the Lassiter boys lacrosse team defeated Alpharetta 10-8 in a preseason scrimmage.

The Trojans, who were state runners-up last season to Milton, begin the season on Wednesday at Westminster in a match that starts at 7:30 p.m.

Lassiter's home opener takes place next Friday against Woodstock, also at 7:30 p.m.

The Lassiter girls, who reached reached the first round of the state tournament a year ago, open their season at home on Tuesday against Harrison. That match begins at 6:30 p.m.
