Kell Bounced from Playoffs
The Longhorns lost in the second round of the GHSA State Football Playoffs.
Friday's loss to Lovejoy was a defensive battle, according to the Marietta Daily Journal, but a hard-fought battle. led through a good portion of the game, but evetually lost, 15-10, ending the season for the Longhorns.
Kell got onto the scoreboard early with a field goal and scored a touchdown in the second quarter to take a 10-3 lead into halftime. But that's all the points the Longhorns could muster against a Lovejoy team that had only given up 35 points all season.
Lovejoy scored the go-ahead touchdown on a fumble recovery brought all the way back for a touchdown with 9:37 to play. Kell could erturn the favor, and only gained 37 yards on offense in the second half.

The Longhorns finished the season 9-3.
