Save it Forward is an Atlanta-area organization that uses coupons to feed hungry children and their families. Students in Lassiter's MID Program of high functioning special needs youth will be learning administrative skills, how to shop and how to stock food as well as providing meals for their needy peers.
MID Program students have already begun setting up shopping envelopes and are prepared to make their first excursion to the grocery store once they secure transportation.
The Dorner Sunday School Class at will be setting up the physical equipment in the pantry itself during October's Love Loud Project, but Save it Forward will be in charge of the operations of the pantry.
