Apply for a permit and decal to avoid parking problems once school starts.

The ongoing renovation project at Lassiter High School has eliminated approximately 160 student parking spaces for the 2011-12 school year.

According to Lassiter, a student who accumulates six or more unexcused tardies or seven or more unexcused absences in one semester is not eligible to purchase a parking permit the next semester until 45 school days from the last offense.

Cobb County School District Form JLIE-1, completed upon application for parking, reads: "To emphasize the importance of being on time to school, of remaining at school, and attendance in school, a student’s parking privilege will be suspended for the remainder of the semester at the time of the sixth unexcused tardy or for unauthorized departure or truancy from school. The suspension of parking privileges will extend for at least 45 school days.”
