Lassiter Receiver Commits to NC State

Wide receiver Charlie Hegedus had multiple offers to play college football next season, but chose NC State.

Charlie Hegedus, a rising senior at , gave a verbal commitment to North Carolina State Wednesday to play football at the Division I level.

Hegedus is the second NC State commit from the Lassiter 2012 class. He will join fellow Trojan, and long-time best friend, Niles Clark in Raleigh, N.C. next year.

Hegedus looked at the University of Tennessee, the University of Georgia and Auburn prior to choosing the Wolfpack. He also had offers from at least six other schools. A stellar performance at a NC State one-day camp this summer landed Hegedus the offer, and now the 6-foot-1-inch receiver headlines the list of promising recruits headed to Raleigh.
