Final exams are upon us for middle school and high school students. What can you do to help your child? Here are a few helpful tips.

It may go without saying, but proper rest and nutrition are nearly as important as studying.

  • Eat at regular intervals
  • Snack on fruits and vegetables while studying
  • Eating three big meals a day may slow you down mentally and physically
  • Healthy breakfast is a must. Try cereal with milk and fruit
  • The darker the vegetables, the better
  • Eat healthy, balanced snacks like banana and peanut butter or baked potato with cottage cheese
  • Keep caffeine and sugar to a minimum
  • Stay well hydrated with water, green tea, fruit juice or milk

  • Don't spend more than a minute or two on each question
  • Use the process of elimination to narrow down your choices
