Daniell Middle Student Selected for Camp

More than 200 rising seventh and eighth graders across the country applied for one of 18 spots.

A Northeast Cobb student was one of 18 people selected from a national pool of more than 200 middle school applicants to attend the CDC Detective Camp this summer.

For three days in July, Daniell Middle School student Michaelle Ramos explored different public health careers and learned about infectious diseases, according to an announcement on the Cobb County School District's website.

Ramos, according to the announcement, also worked on a mock outbreak investigation and presented the findings to the group.
