Cobb School Starts Homeless Pets Club

McCall Primary School has started a homeless pets club. Your school can, too.

The effort to help two homeless dogs, Ed and Bingo, find loving homes marked the beginning of 's Homeless Pets Club-Monarchs to the Rescue. Approximately 40 children, parents and teachers gathered for the launch of the club. It is now a part of the Homeless Pets Foundation, established by Michael Good, a veterinarian in Marietta. Good said he hopes to put as many Homeless Pets Clubs in schools in metro Atlanta as possible in the next two years. Heather Simon, the lead teacher for McCall's Monarchs to the Rescue, said it is important to educate children from a young age about helping and caring for animals in need.

If a Northeast Cobb school would like to start a Homeless Pets Club, contact Dr. Michael Good, who speaks in the video. Here is a link to his foundation's website: http://www.homelesspets.com/
