Voters in State House District 43 will choose from five Republican candidates Tuesday in a special election to fill the vacancy created by the July death of .
A total of 14 precincts in Northeast Cobb and East Cobb will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (see attached PDFs for a sample ballot, district map and list of polling stations).
If no candidate receives a majority of the vote, there will be a runoff Oct. 18 between the top two vote-getters.
The candidates held last week at in which they essentially agreed on a conservative agenda.

The winner will serve out the remainder of Franklin's term, which expires at the end of 2012.
