Space Woes Continue for Cobb Animal Shelter

Within the first hour of being open on Tuesday, 34 animals were turned in.

Within the first hour of opening on Tuesday, the Cobb animal shelter had 34 turn-ins, adding to the recent influx that saw .

"We ask that you help us spread the word about the situation here at the shelter and refer others to come and adopt or rescue from us," the shelter said to those on its email list. "Time is of the essence, and we thank you for your help during this time of need."

The shelter is reaching out to local rescues for assistance.

"We are working on other resources and reaching out to the media as well, but any assistance we can get from rescues is greatly appreciated," the email said. "We understand that everyone is full just as we are, and it is difficult to take animals in during this busy season."
